Papers, ca. 1930-1969.

Most of the papers refer to Persico's administrative and teaching duties at the Istituto di Fisica "Guglielmo Marconi" from about 1950 on: library, activity of the "Consiglio dei Professori", lectures, "tesi di laurea", his course on theoretical physics, etc. Other folders relate to other institutions: Società Italiana di Fisica, Società Italiana per il Progresso delle Scienze, Universitè Laval, INFN, Istituto di Fisica "G. Marconi", Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, SIF, Comitato Nazionale per l'Energia Nucleare (CNEN) and the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics. There is also some correspondence with physicists and with publishers. A second part of the collection consists of manuscripts, mainly notebooks of calculations, mostly dating from his later years, but some go back to the mid-twenties. Includes correspondence, manuscripts, drawings, pictures, administrative papers, reports and notebooks.

Persico (1900-1969) was in the 1930s the most influential teacher contributing to the field of quantum mechanics in Italy and to the spread of these theories throughout the country. From 1947 to 1950 he was director of the Physics Institute at the Universitè Laval, Quebec, Canada. From 1950 he was professor at the Physicis Institute in Rome (Istituto di Fisica "G.
